July 2025 — Frontlines Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit on a mission to make the internet safer for every generation, is emerging as one of the most impactful digital advocacy organizations in the country. Founded by students who saw firsthand the dangers of misinformation and online scams in their own communities, Frontlines has already educated over 18,000 people across the United States through workshops, training sessions, and original content.
Our mission is rooted in the belief that digital safety is a human right. We focus on equipping individuals with the tools they need to navigate misinformation, protect their data, and recognize the growing influence of AI on online life. That work has earned Frontlines invitations to major international forums including the United Nations ECOSOC Youth Forum, where they were able to speak about the importance of nurturing innovation. Our team has also been invited to speak at the DOSE Summit, TEDx conferences, and other leading conferences on youth activism and tech ethics.
In addition to public education, we are actively lobbying for stronger internet safety curriculum in grade schools. Our current policy efforts include a proposed amendment to Virginia’s §22.1‑70.2 code, aiming to introduce digital literacy education that covers misinformation, AI-driven content manipulation, scams, and data privacy. We are also pushing for greater transparency in artificial intelligence, including legislative protections that safeguard vulnerable users from opaque algorithmic systems. For example, we recently helped lobby for the successful RAISE Act, which passed in the NY State Senate.
Frontlines is not just educating and advocating. We are also publishing original research on emerging technologies, misinformation, and the gaps in digital education policy. Our research is driven by a team of high school and college fellows, many of whom contribute directly to academic platforms like SSRN or submit recommendations to state and federal policymakers.
From community centers and schools to policy roundtables and international summits, Frontlines is building a future where digital empowerment is accessible to everyone. To learn more, visit www.frontlines.foundation or reach out frontlineshelp@yahoo.com .
